klodivo Terms of Use

Effective date: 6 November 2026
Version: 1.0

1. Who we are

klodivo.com ("klodivo", "we", "us") is an online marketplace for LEGO® sets, minifigures, parts, instructions and original boxes. It is operated by:

klodivo – enkeltmandsvirksomhed (sole proprietorship) v/ Frederik Lilani
Kattebjerg 3, 4700 Næstved, Denmark
Email: hello@klodivo.com · Contact form: klodivo.com/contact

More details, including our contact points for authorities and for product safety, are in our Legal notice.

2. What klodivo is, and what it is not

  1. klodivo is a marketplace. Independent stores list their own items. When you buy, you buy from the store, not from klodivo. Each store is the seller of its items and is responsible for them, for shipping them and for its obligations to you as a seller.
  2. klodivo provides the website, the catalog, search, the shared cart and checkout, payment collection, messaging, buyer protection and customer support.
  3. Payment collection. When you pay, klodivo receives the money as the store's agent: the store has appointed klodivo to collect payment on its behalf. Your payment to klodivo settles your debt to the store. Your receipt names each store as the seller. Payments are processed by Stripe (see section 7).
  4. klodivo does not sell items itself and does not run its own store.
  5. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group, which does not sponsor, authorise or endorse klodivo. Stores sell genuine LEGO® products; klodivo uses the name only to describe them.

3. Your account

  1. Age. You must be 18 or older to create an account, to buy and to sell. A parent or guardian can buy for a child from their own account.
  2. Sanctions. You can't use klodivo if you live in or ship to a country we don't serve (they aren't in our country lists), or if you are named on an EU, UN, UK or US sanctions list. We check store owners against the EU sanctions list and may hold payouts while we check a possible match. We may close an account that breaks this rule.
  3. One person, one account. Your account is personal. Keep your password safe and don't share it. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
  4. Accurate details. Give your real name and a working email address. Your full name is shown only to stores you order from; your username is public.
  5. Confirming your email. You must confirm your email address before you can sign in and buy.
  6. Two-step sign-in is optional for members and required for klodivo staff.
  7. Closing your account. You can delete your account at any time under Account → Password and security, once you have no open orders. What we keep and for how long is described in our Privacy Policy.
  8. We may suspend or close an account under section 11.

4. Business and private stores

  1. Every store tells us whether it sells as a business (a trader) or as a private person. We show this on the store page, on every listing and at checkout. We rely on the store's own declaration; we do not verify it, but we act if we learn it is wrong.
  2. Buying from a business store: you have the full rights of EU and national consumer law, including the 14-day right of withdrawal (section 6) and the right to complain about faulty goods (section 8).
  3. Buying from a private store: EU consumer protection law, including the right of withdrawal and the consumer rules on faulty goods, does not apply to your purchase. The general law of sale still applies, and klodivo's buyer protection still covers you (section 9).

5. Buying

5.1 How a purchase works

  1. Add items from one or more stores to your cart. Your cart shows the items, the store each item comes from, the shipping cost per store to your country and the total.
  2. At checkout, choose your delivery address and pay once for everything. Discount codes from stores apply to that store's items only.
  3. When you press "Place order and pay" (an order with an obligation to pay), you make a binding offer to each store in your cart.
  4. The contract is formed between you and each store when your payment is confirmed. We then email you an order confirmation listing each store's items, shipping and the total paid. Each store's part is a separate contract and is shipped as a separate parcel.
  5. You can check your order before paying and correct any input errors by going back to the cart or editing your address.
  6. Your order details stay available under Account → Orders, and you can print a receipt there.
  7. The contract language is English.

5.2 Prices, currencies and costs

  1. Stores set their prices in euros (EUR), US dollars (USD) or British pounds (GBP). Prices in another currency are shown as approximate ("≈").
  2. In your cart and at checkout, prices are converted at the European Central Bank's daily rate and fixed: you pay exactly the total shown in your currency.
  3. Prices from business stores include any VAT the store must charge. Stores may not add handling, packing or other surcharges outside the listed price and shipping.
  4. Shipping is set by each store per destination and is shown before you pay.
  5. All stores are in the EU. If you live in the EU, there are no customs duties or import charges. If you live outside the EU, your country may charge import VAT, customs duties and a carrier handling fee on delivery; you pay these.
  6. klodivo does not personalise prices based on automated decision-making.

5.3 Paying

  1. Payment methods are shown at checkout (for example card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, iDEAL, Bancontact). Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach klodivo.
  2. Items are reserved for 30 minutes while you pay. If payment isn't completed in time, the order expires and nothing is charged. If a payment arrives after that, we either complete the order if the items are still available or refund it in full.

5.4 Shipping and delivery

  1. Each store states how many business days it needs to ship. Your order shows a ship-by date per parcel.
  2. Stores add tracking where their shipping method has it. The expected delivery date is shown on your order.
  3. Late shipping: if a store hasn't shipped by the ship-by date, you can cancel that parcel from your order page and get a full refund, including shipping.
  4. Shipping changes: a store may need to change the shipping method before shipping. If the new method is cheaper, we refund the difference straight away. If it costs more, you choose whether to pay the difference or cancel the parcel for a full refund. If you don't answer within 7 days, the parcel is cancelled and refunded.
  5. A store may cancel a parcel before shipping (for example if an item is out of stock). You then get a full refund of that parcel, including shipping.
  6. Pickup: some stores let buyers in their own country collect an order instead. You pay on klodivo as usual and never at the pickup. When the order is ready, we send you the address and a 4-digit code; giving the store the code when you collect counts as delivery. If you don't collect within 14 days of being told it's ready, the store may cancel the order and you get a full refund.
  7. Refunds go back to the payment method you used. Banks usually take 3–10 business days to show them.

6. Right of withdrawal (business stores only)

  1. When you buy from a business store as a consumer, you can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the parcel, without giving a reason.
  2. How to withdraw: use the "Withdraw from contract here (Fortryd aftale)" button on the order page (Account → Orders), or the Withdraw from a purchase page, which works without signing in. Enter your name and confirm. We confirm receipt by email straight away and forward your withdrawal to the store. You can also tell the store by any other clear statement, for example a message through klodivo or the standard withdrawal form in the appendix.
  3. You must send the items back within 14 days of withdrawing. The store's return address is shown after you withdraw. You pay the cost of returning the items unless the store's terms say otherwise.
  4. The store refunds the items and the original standard shipping cost within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal. It may wait until it has received the items back or proof that you sent them. The refund is made through klodivo to your original payment method.
  5. You may be liable for any loss in value caused by handling the items more than necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning (for example, building a sealed set and returning it opened).
  6. The right of withdrawal does not apply to purchases from private stores.

7. Payments through Stripe

  1. Payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Technology Europe Ltd and its affiliates), a regulated payment and e-money institution. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to its part.
  2. Your card statement may show "KLODIVO" because klodivo collects the payment as the stores' agent.

8. Faulty or wrong items: your legal rights

  1. When you buy from a business store, the store is responsible under consumer law for the items being as described and free of defects. You can complain to the store for 2 years after delivery. If a defect shows within 1 year of delivery, it is presumed to have been there at delivery, unless the store proves otherwise.
  2. Report the problem as soon as you can. Start with a message to the store through klodivo, then use buyer protection (section 9) if it isn't solved.
  3. When you buy from a private store, consumer law does not apply, but the general law of sale does, and items must still match their listing.
  4. These rights are not limited by klodivo's buyer protection, which comes on top of them.

9. Buyer protection

klodivo's buyer protection is a free extra service, on top of your legal rights. It covers parcels that never arrive, items not as described and items damaged in the post. The full rules, deadlines and how we decide are on the Buyer Protection page.

10. Messages, feedback and your content

  1. Messages. Use klodivo's messages to contact stores about orders. Messages that suggest paying outside klodivo or that share contact details are flagged for our team to check, because payments outside klodivo are not covered by buyer protection and are a common way of scamming. We read flagged messages only to prevent fraud and abuse.
  2. Feedback. After a parcel arrives you can rate the store positive, neutral or negative, with a comment of up to 280 characters. How feedback works and how we check it is described in Ranking and feedback.
  3. Your content. You keep the rights to what you post (messages, feedback, photos in problem reports). You give klodivo a non-exclusive, free licence to store, show and process it for running the marketplace. Feedback stays published after you delete your account, shown as "Former member".
  4. Rules. Don't post anything illegal, abusive, misleading or that infringes other people's rights. Our Content and moderation policy explains what we remove and how to report something.

11. Suspension and closing accounts

  1. We may restrict, suspend or close an account, or hide or remove content, if you break these terms or the law, if we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse, or if we are required to by law or an authority.
  2. We tell you the decision and the reasons, as described in our Content and moderation policy, unless the law prevents us. You can reply to that email to explain or contest the decision, and a person at klodivo reviews it.
  3. Orders already paid are completed or refunded; suspending an account never takes away money you are owed.

12. klodivo's liability

  1. klodivo is responsible for providing the marketplace with reasonable care and skill. We are not the seller of items bought from stores, and we are not responsible for the stores' obligations as sellers, except where we decide a buyer protection case in your favour, or where the law makes us responsible.
  2. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
  3. klodivo is liable under ordinary Danish law for its own errors, for example in handling your payment or paying a refund it has decided. There is no money cap on this.
  4. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intent, gross negligence or personal injury, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

13. Complaints and disputes

  1. If something goes wrong, contact us at hello@klodivo.com or through klodivo.com/contact. We reply within 2 business days, Monday to Friday.
  2. If we can't solve a complaint together, consumers living in Denmark can complain to Nævnenes Hus / Forbrugerklagenævnet, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, www.forbrug.dk. Consumers in other EU countries can get help from the European Consumer Centre Denmark (www.forbrugereuropa.dk).
  3. These terms are governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a case in the courts of that country.

14. Changes to these terms

  1. We may change these terms, for example for new features or new legal requirements. We email you at least 30 days before a change takes effect, unless the law requires a faster change. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before the change takes effect.
  2. Purchases are governed by the terms in force when you placed the order.

15. Other

  1. If any part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies.
  2. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to a company that takes over the marketplace, and will tell you first.
  3. Other documents that are part of these terms: Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Buyer Protection, Ranking and feedback, Content and moderation policy, Listing rules, and, when gift cards are available, the Gift card terms.
