How to grade used items

Updated 1 November 2026 · 1 minute read

Buyers rely on grades to compare listings, so grade the worst part of the lot, not the best.

  • Like new: no visible wear, no scratches you can see at arm's length, colours bright, no tooth marks.
  • Good: light play wear, no cracks or stress marks, colours not faded.
  • Acceptable: clear wear, small marks, light discolouration or yellowing. Say what in the notes.

For sets, "complete" means every part for the main build and the alternate builds; minifigures and accessories included. Used sets need photos and a note on their condition before they can be listed.
